Overview: Olive Leaf is the leaf of the olive tree (Olea europaea) and contains the main bioactive of hydroxytyrosol and oleuropein. Olive Leaf appears to potently protect LDL cholesterol from oxidation. Olive Leaf also appears to have beneficial effects on glucose metabolism as well as fat burning effects through increased thyroid hormones and adrenaline.
The main component of olive leaf called oleuropein has has antioxidant, antibacterial, antimicrobial, anti-inflammatory, and immune-stimulating properties.
