Overview: Meadowsweet extract is a compound derived from a perennial herb called meadowsweet (Filipendula ulmaria). It contains tannins which helps fight inflammation, glycosides, essential oils, as well as salicylates which function similarly to aspirin.
Meadowsweet is used for colds, bronchitis, upset stomach, heartburn, peptic ulcer disease, and joint disorders including gout. It is also used to increase urine output and kill germs in the urine of people with bladder infections. Moreover, it is used in skincare products for its skin-soothing properties.
Common Dosage: 2 to 3 ml per day
