Overview: Horse Chestnut 20% Aescin(15:1) is a mixture of saponins derived from horse chestnut and is concentrated at 20 percent. It is the main active component in horse chestnut, and is responsible for most of its medicinal properties.

It induces endothelial nitric oxide synthesis by making endothelial cells more permeable to calcium ions, and also induces the release of prostaglandin F. It also reduces the catabolism of tissue and antoginizes serotonin and histamine.

Common Dosage: 100 to 150 mg per day
