Overview: Prunella Vulgaris is a common herb found in Britain. Traditionally the leaves were applied to wounds to promote healing. This leaf has also been turned into an extract and is used for supplementation for helping assist with liver health, acting as a stimulant in the liver and gallbladder.
There is also evidence that it has antiviral properties and is used to assist in promoting overall good health. It contains anti-inflammatory compounds, tannins, as well as vitamins such as vitamin C, K, and thiamine.
