Overview: Organic Astragalus Powder is the dried and pulverized root of astragalus. The roots are used in Traditional Chinese Medicine as an adaptogen. It is also known for its ability to protect cells against cell death and from free radicals and oxidation.
Common Dosage: The dosage for astragalus powder depends on the intended use. Cof congestive heart failure, 2 to 7.5 grams of powder is used, for blood sugar control, 40 to 60 grams; for kidney disease 7.5 to 15 grams; for chronic fatigue syndrome, 30 grams; and for allergies, 80 mg capsules are administered for six weeks.
