Overview: Motherwort extract is a compound derived from the herbaceous perennial plant called Motherwort (Leonurus cardiaca). The herb contains the alkaloid leonurine, stachydrine, bitter iridoid glycosides (leonuride), diterpinoids, flavonoids (including rutin and quercetin), tannins, volatile oils, and vitamin A.
It is known for its antioxidant and anti-inflammatory properties as well as its ability to promote the relaxation of blood vessels.
