Overview: Ferrous fumarate, is the iron(II) salt of fumaric acid. It is a reddish-orange powder used to supplement iron intake.
Common Dosage: The suggested dosage for ferrous fumarate depends on the intended use as well as on the age of the person taking it. For treating adult iron deficiency anemia, a dose of 369 mg divided by 3 times per day for three months is recommended. As a mineral supplement, it should be taken at a does of 18 to 54 mg divided into 3 doses per day.
