Overview: Bromelain is an enzyme found in pineapple juice and in the pineapple stem that people use to make medicine. Bromelain is used to reduce swelling and inflammation, preventing the collection of water in the lungs, relaxing muscles, stimulating muscle contractions, slow down clotting, improve the absorption of antibiotics within the body, and help the body get rid of fat.
